A tragic fire at the Ember Hotel on Bangkok’s renowned Khao San Road has resulted in the deaths of three foreign tourists and left several others injured. The fire broke out late Sunday night, spreading rapidly across the 5th floor of the six-story hotel, which is situated in one of the city’s most popular areas for backpackers and tourists. Known for its vibrant nightlife and bustling atmosphere, Khao San Road has become a key attraction for visitors from around the world.
According to Police Colonel Sanong Saengmanee, all three victims were foreign nationals. One was found deceased at the scene, while the other two died after being transported to the hospital with severe burns. A total of seven individuals were injured, including two Thai nationals and five other foreign guests. Thankfully, emergency responders were able to evacuate 75 people staying at the hotel at the time of the fire, preventing further casualties.
Firefighters quickly arrived at the scene and managed to bring the blaze under control after several hours. Authorities have launched a full investigation to determine the cause of the fire, though the exact details remain unclear.
