Russia-India Ties Strengthened by Special Strategic Partnership, Putin Says on Republic Day

In a statement on India’s 76th Republic Day, Russian President Vladimir Putin highlighted the enduring strength of the Russian-Indian relationship, emphasizing that it is founded on a “special and privileged strategic partnership.” Putin expressed confidence that both nations would continue to work together to expand productive cooperation across all sectors and foster constructive collaboration in global affairs.

Putin conveyed his warm congratulations to India’s President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on this significant occasion. He affirmed that their joint efforts would be key to further developing their bilateral ties and advancing their shared vision of a fair, multipolar world order.

He also acknowledged the Indian Constitution, which came into effect 75 years ago, as a crucial foundation for India’s democratic growth and robust state institutions. Reflecting on India’s remarkable progress since its independence, Putin commended the country for its significant achievements in areas like science, technology, and socio-economic development, earning global respect and recognition.
