Hyderabad: CM Revanth Reddy Launches Four Welfare Schemes, Promises More Development for Telangana

On the occasion of Republic Day, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy unveiled four welfare schemes from Chandravancha village in Kodangal constituency, fulfilling promises made during the 2023 assembly elections. Speaking at the launch, the CM emphasized the Congress government’s commitment to implementing more initiatives for the state’s welfare and urged citizens to resist opposition “conspiracies.”

Welfare Schemes Rolled Out

Revanth announced the immediate rollout of financial assistance under key schemes:

  • Rythu Bharosa: Rs 12,000 per annum for 70 lakh farmers, with Rs 6,000 to be credited immediately.
  • Indiramma Athmeeya Bharosa: Rs 12,000 per annum for 10 lakh landless agricultural workers.
  • Indiramma Illu: Rs 5 lakh financial aid for housing construction, to be disbursed based on the progress of construction.
  • New Ration Cards: 40 lakh new cards will be issued, followed by distribution of fine-quality rice.

The CM assured all eligible beneficiaries would be covered under these schemes by March 31.

Criticism of Opposition

Revanth targeted the BRS party, accusing it of neglecting welfare measures during its tenure. He criticized the lack of new ration cards and the poor implementation of the 2-BHK housing scheme over the past decade. “Governments cannot be run from farmhouses. It’s the people who are the real rulers, and we are here to serve you,” he declared.

The CM highlighted the Congress government’s achievements in its 13-month tenure and promised continued development for the next 10 years with public support. He warned citizens against opposition tactics aimed at creating unrest and urged them to cooperate with officials to access welfare benefits.

Personal Commitment to Kodangal

Addressing the people of Kodangal, Revanth spoke about his brother Tirupathi Reddy’s dedication to the constituency. He refuted allegations from the KCR family, stating that Tirupathi Reddy serves the constituency selflessly without holding any official post. “We don’t need ministerial or MP positions to help people. Unlike the KCR family, we are focused on welfare, not looting the state,” he asserted.

Revanth highlighted his personal contributions to Kodangal’s development, including donating his own land for projects like bus stands. He promised to allocate 20,000 Indiramma housing units to the constituency in the next five years and emphasized the need for land to attract industries that would bring jobs and prosperity to the region.

With these welfare schemes and promises of development, the Congress government aims to strengthen its connection with the people and reaffirm its commitment to the progress of Telangana.
