YouTuber Gaurav Taneja, widely known as Flying Beast, has weighed in on the controversy surrounding Ranveer Allahbadia’s controversial remarks on comedian Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latest. Allahbadia, who runs the Beer Biceps YouTube channel, found himself at the center of a storm after posing an inappropriate question to a contestant, sparking outrage on social media.
The episode, which featured well-known content creators like Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Mukhija (The Rebel Kid), took a shocking turn when Allahbadia asked, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?” Even Samay Raina, the show’s host, appeared startled, reacting with, “What the f**?”*
The backlash was swift, with netizens condemning the remark as distasteful and offensive. As the criticism intensified, Allahbadia issued a public apology, admitting, “My comment was not only inappropriate but also lacked any humor. Comedy is not my forte.”However, many critics, including fellow YouTubers and fans, argued that such remarks should not be dismissed lightly.
Among those criticizing the incident, Gaurav Taneja took a direct shot at Samay Raina, stating, “Seems like #SamayRaina won’t stop until he gets all of YouTube India canceled.” His remark suggested growing frustration with the increasing trend of controversial and offensive content in India’s digital space.
The controversy escalated further as an FIR was lodged against Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, Apoorva Mukhija, and the show India’s Got Latent for allegedly using offensive language. The legal action indicated that authorities were taking the matter seriously, reinforcing concerns over the boundaries of humor and ethical content creation.
Reacting to the growing uproar, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis weighed in on the issue. While he admitted to not having personally seen the clip, he stated, “I have been informed about its vulgar content. Freedom of speech is a fundamental right, but it does not mean one can cross the lines of decency. If anyone does, action will be taken.”
As the controversy continues to unfold, the debate over ethical boundaries in digital content creation intensifies, raising questions about where to draw the line between humor and offensiveness in online entertainment.
