A goods train carrying iron ore derailed in Peddapalli district, Telangana, causing significant disruption to train services, South Central Railway (SCR) reported on Wednesday. The incident occurred late Tuesday night when 11 wagons of the train derailed between Raghavapuram and Ramagundam. As a result, nearly 37 passenger trains have been cancelled, and more than 10 other trains have been affected, with some diverted or rescheduled.

Restoration work is currently underway, and in the meantime, the SCR has advised passengers to stay updated on the latest developments. According to a statement by the SCR, six trains from Akola and Akot have been cancelled, and three trains from Daund, Nizamabad, and Sirpur Kaghaznagar will operate with partial cancellations, missing some stops.

Additionally, ten trains from Delhi, Gorakhpur, Ahmedabad, and Danapur have been diverted due to the derailment. Passengers on these routes are urged to check train schedules and timings for the latest updates. A train from MGR Chennai to Ahmedabad and another from Yeswantpur to Mirzapur have also been rescheduled. Three other trains from Darbhanga, Danapur, and Jaipur will experience delays due to regulatory measures on the Central Railway.
