Heavy snowfall in Manali, Himachal Pradesh, led to severe traffic congestion on Monday, with around 1,000 vehicles stranded between Solang and the Atal Tunnel in Rohtang. Responding swiftly, police launched a rescue operation, safely guiding nearly 700 tourists out of the gridlock. A viral video from the scene showcases the commendable efforts of the authorities, with a police officer motivating drivers and directing traffic amid the snowy chaos.

The video, originally shared by Himachal Pradesh Police and reposted by ANI, captures the officer encouraging motorists with the words “Sabash, chaliye sabash,” urging them to move carefully. Another individual is seen spreading soil on the snow-covered road to prevent vehicles from skidding, highlighting the teamwork involved in clearing the jam.

Meanwhile, Shimla presented a contrasting picture. The city, draped in a thick blanket of snow, offered visitors a serene winter wonderland.The recent snowfall, arriving after a two-week break since the season’s first on December 8, brought immense joy to tourists.

Tourists shared their joy at experiencing the snow. One visitor told ANI, “The snowfall is breathtaking. We woke up to this beautiful sight and decided to extend our stay. This is my first snowfall, and it’s a memory I will cherish for a lifetime.”

Another tourist echoed the sentiment, saying, “This snowfall is magical. Experiencing nature’s beauty for the first time has been extraordinary. I encourage everyone to visit and witness this spectacular sight. Watching the snow fall has been a thrilling and unforgettable experience.”
