Kishtwar Clash: Three Jaish Terrorists Eliminated in Snow-Covered Operation
Amid harsh snow-laden terrain in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district, Indian security forces have gunned down three terrorists in an ongoing high-altitude operation. The latest development came Saturday as two more militants were neutralized in the Chhatru area, taking the toll to three since Friday, the Army confirmed.
Operating under extreme weather conditions, the security forces continued their combing operation with precision. Among those killed is believed to be senior Jaish-e-Mohammad commander Saifullah, who had reportedly been active in the Chenab Valley for the past year.
“In the face of inclement weather, our troops eliminated two Pakistani terrorists in Chhatru, Kishtwar. An AK-47 and an M4 rifle were recovered during the operation,” stated the Army’s White Knight Corps on X.
The confrontation began with an initial skirmish on Wednesday, leading to the first terrorist being killed Friday morning. Since then, forces have intensified search efforts across the mountainous region.
Simultaneously, another anti-terror operation is underway in the Basantgarh and Ramnagar belts of Udhampur district. Security teams are tracking a separate group of three suspected infiltrators believed to have recently crossed into Indian territory.
