A massive fire broke out on the 42nd floor of a high-rise residential tower in Byculla, South Mumbai, on Friday morning. The blaze, which started around 10:45 am at one of the twin towers of Salsette 27 on Babasaheb Ambedkar Road, prompted a swift response from the fire brigade.

According to officials, multiple fire tenders were deployed, and firefighting operations were in full swing. Emergency response teams, including the police, BEST, and 108 ambulance services, were also mobilized.

Thick black smoke billowed from the building’s glass facade, making the fire visible from a distance. Authorities are investigating the cause of the blaze, and no casualties have been reported so far.
