Historic Moment for Telugu Community: Andhra Pradesh CM Hails JD Vance’s Victory and Congratulates Usha Vance

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu celebrated the victory of US Vice President-elect JD Vance on Wednesday, calling it a moment of pride for the Telugu community. Naidu extended special congratulations to Usha Chilukuri Vance, JD Vance’s wife, who is poised to become the Second Lady of the United States. Usha, 38, traces her roots to Vadluru village near Tanuku in West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh.

Naidu lauded Usha’s historic achievement, highlighting her Telugu heritage. “I warmly congratulate JD Vance on his remarkable victory and Usha Vance, who will make history as the first woman of Telugu origin to serve as the Second Lady of the United States,” he shared on X (formerly Twitter).

The Chief Minister described this milestone as a moment of immense pride for Telugus worldwide. He also expressed his hope of inviting the Vance family to Andhra Pradesh, emphasizing the cultural ties and goodwill between India and the United States.

Naidu further congratulated Donald Trump on his victory in the 2024 US Presidential elections. He praised Trump’s leadership during his first term, noting the significant progress made in strengthening India-US relations.

“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Donald Trump on his election victory. His first term laid a strong foundation for an enduring India-US partnership. I am optimistic that this collaboration will deepen under the leadership of both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Trump,” Naidu stated.

This dual celebration not only underscores the pride in Usha Vance’s Telugu heritage but also reflects Naidu’s optimism about the future of India-US relations under the new administration.
