Allu Arjun, the star of Pushpa 2, is set to appear before a Hyderabad court today in connection with the tragic stampede that occurred at Sandhya Theatre.

The incident took place on December 4 during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule, when a massive crowd gathered to see Allu Arjun. As he waved to his fans from the sunroof of his car, chaos broke out, leading to a stampede that tragically resulted in the death of a woman named Revathi and injuries to her child.

In the aftermath, Allu Arjun was arrested and later released on bail after posting a Rs 50,000 bond.

On December 24, Bhaskar, the father of the injured child, spoke to the media, expressing relief as his child responded for the first time after 20 days in critical condition. Bhaskar acknowledged the support from Allu Arjun and the Telangana government, which has been assisting the family during this difficult time.

In a generous gesture, Allu Aravind, the father of Allu Arjun and a prominent film producer, announced financial assistance of Rs 2 crores for the victim’s family. The amount included Rs 1 crore from Allu Arjun, Rs 50 lakhs from the producers, and another Rs 50 lakhs from the film’s director.

Allu Aravind also visited the child in the hospital, expressing optimism about his recovery. “The doctors are hopeful, and we are pleased to hear that the child is breathing on his own after being taken off the ventilator,” he shared with the media. The support from the family aims to help the victim’s son, Sri Tej, in his future and provide much-needed financial assistance to the bereaved family.
