The much-awaited epic *Ramayana*, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, was officially announced by Namit Malhotra on Wednesday. The grand film will be released in two parts, with Part One scheduled for release in 2026 and Part Two in 2027.

Sharing the poster on Instagram, Namit revealed an image of an arrow against a blazing sky and expressed his excitement: “More than a decade ago, I set out on a mission to bring this epic, which has touched the hearts of billions for over 5,000 years, to the big screen. Today, I am thrilled to see it taking shape beautifully as our teams work tirelessly to present the most authentic, sacred, and visually breathtaking adaptation of our history, our truth, and our culture—our *RAMAYANA*—for audiences worldwide.”

The announcement of *Ramayana* sparked an enthusiastic response from fans, with many taking to social media to express their excitement. One fan exclaimed, “The most awaited Magnum Opus—can’t wait!” while another shared their anticipation, writing, “Super duper excited for this epic!” Namit Malhotra also extended a heartfelt invitation to his followers, encouraging them to be a part of this cinematic journey: “Come join us as we bring our greatest epic to life with immense pride and reverence… Part 1 in Diwali 2026 and Part 2 in Diwali 2027.” His words resonated with fans, promising an unforgettable experience that celebrates India’s rich cultural heritage.

The film’s star-studded cast includes Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Sheeba Chaddha as Manthara. Earlier this year, a leaked image from the film set showing Ranbir and Sai in costume went viral.

Yash recently discussed his portrayal of Ravana, saying, “If the character is treated like a character, the film will succeed. To make a film of this scale, actors need to put the project and vision above their own stardom. It’s about working together for the larger goal.”
