“Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” and “Singham Again,” two of the most highly anticipated Bollywood films this Diwali, have now entered their third weekend at the box office. While both movies have shown strong performances, it’s Kartik Aaryan’s “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” that seems to have gained a clear lead in this phase, according to the latest box office numbers.
On its second Thursday, “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3,” directed by Anees Bazmee, earned Rs 4.15 crore, followed by Rs 4 crore on the third Friday. This brought its 15-day total to Rs 220.25 crore nett in India. In comparison, the Rohit Shetty-directed “Singham Again” earned Rs 3 crore on its second Thursday and Rs 2.75 crore on Friday, bringing its total to Rs 223.25 crore nett after 15 days.
Here’s the day-wise box office breakdown for both films after 15 days in India:
“Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3”
Week 1: Rs 158.25 crore
Week 2: Rs 58 crore
Friday: Rs 4 crore
Total: Rs 220.25 crore
“Singham Again”
Week 1: Rs 173 crore
Week 2: Rs 47.5 crore
Friday: Rs 2.75 crore
Total: Rs 223.25 crore
Despite the release of “Kanguva,” a Tamil pan-India film starring Suriya, neither “Singham Again” nor “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” seems to be significantly impacted. While “Kanguva” had generated considerable buzz, its mixed reviews—particularly the criticism of its loud music—seem to have dampened its performance, especially in the Hindi market.
As we move into the weekend, “Kanguva” may pick up, but it hasn’t affected the box-office dominance of “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” and “Singham Again.” These films still have almost half a month to perform before the release of “Pushpa 2: The Rule” on December 5, which is expected to create a massive impact at the box office.
