The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conclude the registration for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2025 on March 7. Candidates who have not yet applied must complete their registration on the official website neet.nta.nic.in before the deadline at 11:50 PM. The registration process began on February 7.

To ensure applicants complete their submissions on time, NTA has been sending reminders regarding the deadline. Additionally, a correction window for making changes to the application will be available from March 9 to March 11 (until 11:50 PM).

NTA’s Guidelines for NEET UG 2025 Application Correction

According to NTA, only final corrections submitted after payment of any required additional fees (if applicable) will be considered. If a modification leads to a change in the fee amount, candidates must pay the excess amount as per the updated fee structure. However, any extra payments made beyond the required amount will not be refunded.

NEET UG serves as the only entrance exam for undergraduate medical and allied courses in India. The number of applicants has consistently increased over the years.

  • 2024: 24,06,079 candidates registered
  • 2023: 20,87,462 candidates registered

  • 2021: 16,14,777 candidates registered
  • 2020: 15,97,435 candidates registered
  • 2019: 15,19,375 candidates registered

This year, NEET UG 2025 is scheduled to take place on May 4.

While filling out the application form, candidates must select three preferred cities for their exam centre. The choices will be limited to the state of their permanent or present address to ensure accessibility. Candidates are advised to opt for their own city or nearby locations rather than distant cities in other states.
