New Delhi:
Oil marketing companies have announced a reduction in the price of commercial LPG cylinders, effective Saturday. This change impacts the 19 kg cylinders, commonly used by hotels, restaurants, and other businesses.
Following the latest price revision, the cost of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has been cut by Rs 7, bringing the retail price down to Rs 1,797. This reduction is expected to ease the financial burden on businesses that rely on LPG for daily operations.
LPG prices are regularly adjusted by oil companies, reflecting shifts in global crude oil prices and other relevant factors. However, domestic LPG cylinder prices, which are used for household cooking, remain unchanged in this update.
Earlier in December, oil companies had raised the prices of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 62, affecting businesses heavily dependent on LPG for their functioning.
The price revision comes amid fluctuating global market conditions and is likely to have a notable effect on commercial establishments like restaurants and hotels. While the impact of this price reduction may be marginal, it provides some relief to small businesses.
It’s worth noting that LPG prices differ across states due to varying local taxes and transportation costs, but businesses nationwide will benefit from the new reduced rates.
