Bengaluru: Infosys has reportedly laid off over 300 freshers from its Mysuru training campus, though IT employees’ union NITES claims the number is closer to 700. The affected employees, hired in October 2024 after a two-year wait, were allegedly pressured into signing “mutual separation” agreements and asked to vacate the premises the same day.

Infosys defended its decision, stating that freshers must clear internal assessments within three attempts, as per their contract. However, NITES has accused the company of violating Indian labour laws and plans to file a formal complaint with the Ministry of Labour and Employment. Reports also suggest that security personnel were deployed to prevent documentation of the incident.
